A Boston woman is warning people to stay away from the Simone Biles-backed mental health service Cerebral, alleging that the company is a ‘scam’ that advertises therapy options which it doesn’t actually offer — and then charges users for services it doesn’t provide.

Katie Mac, 27, was on the hunt for a therapist when she signed up for Cerebral last year, but within 24 hours, she was demanding her money back.

Mac said she was required to enter her credit card information before she even chose a therapist, and then only two therapists — neither of which met her needs — were offered as options.

When she contacted customer service for a refund, claiming the company didn’t provide what she paid for, she says they offered her a meager 30 per cent back even though she never had a single therapy session.

Mac has since taken to TikTok to caution others and insist that Olympic gold medalist Biles – who has served as the app’s Chief Impact Officer since October 2021 – should stop promoting the company.
