BEACHWOOD, Ohio —

Fraud: Duffield Road

At 11:30 a.m. April 4, a Beachwood woman, 46, reported that she met a person online on the LinkedIn website and that the person advised her on how to move cryptocurrency. The women ended up sending the person $56,000 and then learned that she was the victim of a scam.

Theft: Cedar Road

At 6 p.m. March 30, police arrested for theft a South Euclid man, 18. The suspect stole a bracelet valued at $11.99 from the store Zumiez at Beachwood Place mall, 26300 Cedar Road.

Theft: Cedar Road

At 2:45 p.m. March 31, a Shaker Heights boy, 16, was arrested for stealing clothing valued at $42.50 from Dillard’s at Beachwood Place. Police charged the boy with theft.

Theft: Cedar Road

At 6:30 p.m. March 31, police arrested and charged with theft a Cleveland girl, 15, for stealing clothing valued at a total of $1,374.09 from Dillard’s.

Disturbance: Chagrin Boulevard

At 6:30 p.m. March 31, officers were called to P.F. Chang’s restaurant, 26001 Chagrin Blvd., on a report that a fired employee had returned and caused a disturbance. The former employee, a Garfield Heights man, 32, left the eatery and was not charged.

Carrying a concealed weapon: Helen Road

At 9:15 p.m. April 1, an officer stopped a car for speeding on Helen Road. The driver, a Shaker Heights man, 18, was found to have a suspended license and to be in possession of a firearm.

Police arrested the man on a felony charge of carrying a concealed weapon, as well as driving with a suspended license…
