A rental property scam has been revealed to be targeting one part of Merseyside.
The scam was shared across social media as one woman tried to share information so it didn’t happen to anyone.
It involves posting properties up for rent with fees “at too good to be true prices”. When you enquire about the bills, the person claiming to be the owner of the property then says they live abroad and originally bought the property for their daughter.

They then ask you to pay a form of deposit.
The woman did research after her friend noticed something wasn’t right and found the exact same emails sent to her posted on online forums.
In the emails, it also asks for you to not show up at the property.
