Regular baths, nail care, and well-groomed hair are all part of maintaining personal hygiene, however, the concept of personal hygiene is not limited to these three rather it includes quite more. One of the commonly forgotten aspects of personal hygiene is ear care. Those that may seem to care for their ear, do this the wrong way.

The question, however, is if the ear requires frequent cleaning as other parts of the body, and if so, what is the most appropriate way to go about this. The ear, just like any other body part does require proper and regular care, this includes removing excess accumulated wax and avoiding using sharp or contaminated objects in the ear.

Earwax is produced in the ear and functions primarily as a protective barrier to keep out sand, debris, pathogens, and other foreign materials. However, in excess, the wax could cause itching, ringing noise, and sometimes a partial or complete form of deafness. So, what is the ideal way to deal with wax accumulation?

I took a personal survey of how most people clean their ears and here is my finding. First, most people only remember to clean the ear when it feels itching or presents with similar symptoms, otherwise, they simply do not remember the ear needs to be cleaned just like every other body part.
