JACKSON COUNTY, MI — Though phone-based scams are far from a new phenomena, police are reporting a recent increase in the Jackson and Lansing areas.
“In the recent months, law enforcement across the state of Michigan have seen a significant uptick in the number Michigan residents that are being scammed over the phone,” said Michigan State Police Detective Sgt. Jay Barkley.
