Suspicious, Kenilworth Road
On Feb. 21 at 8:41 a.m. a resident reported two people were walking around his neighbor’s yard that he had never seen before. Officers responded and found the couple in the neighbor’s yard. They said they were waiting for the homeowner to arrive home so they could pick some property from him. The owner arrived home a short time later and confirmed the exchange.

Theft, Breezewood Drive
On Feb. 21 at 9:38 a.m. a resident reported that his car had been stolen overnight, and two other cars in the driveway had been gone through. On Feb. 26 at 3:13 p.m. Brooklyn police reported they found the stolen car in the 8600 block of Brook Park Road. The car was being driven by a 30-year-old Cleveland resident who claimed she purchased the car from someone the day before. The car was towed back to Bay Village for processing and later released to the owner.
Scam, Kenilworth Road
On Feb. 23 6 p.m. a resident reported that she had been scammed out of almost $13,000 by a man she had met on a dating website.
Fraud, Lincoln Road
On Feb. 24 at 9:06 a.m. a resident reported fraudulent activity involving his Square account. A customer had paid him $800 on the account with a credit card. The $800 never went into his account, and Square took $600 from his attached bank account to zero out the balance. Someone had linked a second account to his Square account, which is where the money went.
