“They either shut down their business or pay the ransom. So they’ll pay the ransom,” said Harrison. “The ransoms have been, with some of the businesses we’ve worked with that are larger, have been millions of dollars. Some are $5,000.”
He says he attributes the increase in hacking to COVID-19, when a lot of people started working from home.
