Poor Brad and Elisa Delson! After all this time, the Linkin Park guitarist and his longtime wife have had no luck at finding a buyer for their main residence. Located in the mountains above Beverly Hills, in a celebrified guard-gated community called The Summit, that house has been for sale (off and on) for over two years. Initially asking $8 million, the price tag has been slashed to just over $6.8 million, and the place has undergone renovations and a change of realtors. Still no takers — yet.
But Linkin Park is one of music’s most successful bands of all time, and the Delsons’ unsaleable real estate white elephant has not stopped them from buying a new mansion. Last year, the pair dropped $5.9 million on a nearly-new house in the low-key, family-friendly Beverlywood neighborhood, located immediately south of Beverly Hills. With nearly 7,700 square feet of living space, the new place is substantially larger than their former 90210 digs, and it even sports a designer pedigree.
Built on speculation and completed in 2017, the East Coast traditional-style house was sold the following year for $5.7 million to Zachary Horwitz, a former actor who last year pleaded guilty to running a $650 million Hollywood Ponzi scheme. The Beverlywood mansion, which authorities claimed was bought with ill-gotten proceeds of that scheme, soon popped up for sale with a $6.5 million ask, before the Delsons negotiated a big discount.
