CARROLLTON, Ala. (WTVA) – Investigators say a woman from Gordo lied about her stimulus check in an attempt to get another.
Charlie Craig, 37, was charged with first-degree theft on Thursday, Oct. 28.
That’s according to a news release from District Attorney Andrew Hamlin.
Craig allegedly cashed her COVID-19 stimulus check, then claimed the check had been stolen in an attempt to get a replacement.
She was booked into the Pickens County jail.
