Thanks to husband Tom Girardi’s alleged mishandling of client funds, Erika has been slapped with a $25 million lawsuit. To make matters worse, Tom’s victim’s lawyers hit Bravo and RHOBH producers were hit with a subpoena. It’s been suspected that they are looking for any financial info they can get on Erika.
Now Radar Online is reporting that Erika is refusing to hand over some expensive earrings. Tom bought the jewelry during their 20+ year marriage. According to the attorney investigating Tom, he bought the earrings with client funds. As part of the investigation of funds for Tom’s bankruptcy proceedings, the trustee has been looking at bank statements and financial records.
And that’s where the pricey earrings came in. Tom stands accused of purchasing the $750K diamond earrings with funds from his law firm’s client trust account. The trust accounts where clients would be safeguarding their settlement money until their respective payouts. The earrings in question are now worth an estimated $1.4 million.
