CPS Energy on Sunday warned customers of an ongoing scam.
In social media posts, CPS said it had received reports of customers trying to be tricked into calling a bogus number allegedly belonging to the utility and sharing payment information.
“Don’t be fooled,” CPS tweeted.

If you do receive a call, CPS says:
- Hang up.
- Record the phone number the person is telling you to call back.
- Report the phone number to our Customer Service: 210-353-2222.
