Evil Dead star Bruce Campbell hilariously shares a scam message of someone claiming to be Sam Raimi looking to make Spider-Man 4.
Bruce Campbell has appeared in so many Sam Raimi movies that if the legendary Evil Dead star doesn’t make a cameo, many fans question whether it was really a Sam Raimi movie. Therefore, it is not unusual for the pair to share a bit of banter from time to time. Campbell shared a photo on his Twitter account that appeared to show Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness director Raimi begging for money to make Spider-Man 4. Of course. It appears in the form of message that has become the signature of online scammers; it is clear that this is not a message from the real Sam Raimi but is one that Campbell found entertaining enough.
In the message that Campbell shared, the supposed request from Raimi reads, “Hi there it’s Sam Raimi the director here. I am trying to make spiderman 4 with the doctor strange budget but Kevin Fiegey (sic) as caught on and pulled the funding. Can you send me 1500 in iTunes gif card codes so I can hire Tony Maguire thanks.” Campbell commented on the image saying, “Boy, that Sam – always hitting people up for money. I will chip in, because I love Tony Maguire.”
