Many soon-to-be high school graduates are questioning whether or not college is truly worth the cost? And some current Massachusetts college students believe college is a scam in and of itself.

According to a 2020 New England Higher Education study, Massachusetts was found to have one of the fastest-rising costs of public higher education in the country. Over the past eight years, the average cost of in-state tuition and fees at public four-year Massachusetts colleges has jumped 25%. Enrollment at public Massachusetts colleges has dropped nearly 10% since 2010.
