Vermont did not release new covid 19 numbers Monday evening. The New Hampshire department of health and human services reported eight deaths and 2,705 new covid 19 positive tests. two deaths and 396 positive cases were in Cheshire County. In Massachusetts there were 53 deaths and 60,986 new cases of the covid virus over the weekend. Franklin County reported 454 new covid positive cases.
In Townshend, masks are required when doing business in the Clerk’s Office, vaccinated or not. A Bill on Governor Phil Scott’s desk means Select board members may soon be able to hold informational meetings via Zoom and then all articles and elections would be held by Australian Ballot or there will be the option to move the meeting until later in the year. Governor Phil Scott is reviewing a bill approved by the legislature last week. The Townshend Select Board tonight will be discussing COVID related items, including what to do about Town Meeting, at their meeting on Tuesday night. Your input is being solicited.
The Brattleboro Development Credit Corporation has added a new loan program to its lending portfolio. “KIVA” is a crowdfunding platform, with a zero percent interest rate and a maximum $10,000 amount.
