Hackers take control of anti-vaccine influencer’s accounts and attempt to blackmail her into handing over cash after scamming her followers out of thousands of dollars

  • Bec McMillan, 43, was hacked after she tried to use a company to get verified
  • Now several of her devoted fans have also been scammed, one out of $2,000
  • Ms McMillan said she has contacted Facebook 30 times but heard no response










A prominent anti-vaccine influencer’s accounts were hacked by scammers who promised to help get her Instagram verified.

Mother-of-two Bec McMillan, 43, makes a living sharing Covid-denying propaganda and other conspiracy theories online from her Gold Coast home.

Wanting to increase her audience of conspiracy theorists, she tried to get two of her Instagram accounts verified about four weeks ago.
