Bengaluru: Police have arrested two fraudsters for allegedly cheating a duo of Rs 78.8 lakh after promising huge returns in the rice-pulling business in the state capital recently.

The accused have been identified Vignesh BA (37), a resident of Nagarabhavi, and Nagaraj C (45), a resident of Mulbagal in Kolar district. Two other suspects in the case are still absconding, reported the Times of India.

Police said that the victim, Neethan Raj, a resident of Basavanagudi, registered a police complaint stating that the conmen had approached him and his friend, Gopi Karthik, to invest money in their business of a hand-sized vessel that had “thunderbolt strike and isotope radiation”.
