- According to Hamilton County District Attorney Neal Pinkston’s office, a 31-year-old man pled guilty to killing a woman in 2019. Robert Rodricus Orr pled guilty on Monday to killing 32-year-old Bernice Williams on Jan. 29, 2019, at a home on West Main Street Court. Orr fled to Jasper, Tennessee with his girlfriend where law enforcement eventually caught up with him at a motel in Hamilton County. (MyFox Chattanooga)
- On Monday, the Chattanooga Police Department and the Walker County Sheriff’s Office issued advisories about a scam circulating the Chattanooga area. The scam may arrive by email or text saying the recipient is facing a fine for missing a jury assignment. The message may also mention the respective court clerks by name, making it appear official. Authorities urge you to ignore the email, saying people who miss jury duty would not be notified this way. (WTVC)
